Commissioned Paintings

Your oil painting will be painted by hand with no digital, photographic or mechanical devices employed. Traditional methods still remain the only way to create the timeless beauty of a professionally painted portrait or still life. I use the techniques developed over many years of my work with professional instructors.  I use only high quality materials.

For Still Life:
Do you have favorite personal items that you would like to see in your still life oil painting? The still life would be set up in my studio. All personal items will be returned upon completion of the painting and final transaction.

For portraits: 
Photographs must be your own and not from a studio to avoid copyright violation. Photographs must have clear detail and be digital or 35mm. In order to paint the detail of a face accurately, I will need a very clear view of all facial features. Having more than one photo, or a close-up photo would be very helpful.  Light and Shadow is of most importance.   For pricing, view the chart below.

For All:

I require a signed contract and a 30% non-refundable deposit. 20% is required when composition is decided upon. 50% when completed. Allow 6 weeks for completion. After completion, the painting may take a few additional weeks to dry. I will not ship or release a painting until I am sure it is dry.
When the painting is completed I will send you a digital copy via email for your approval before shipping. Upon acceptance, the balance due will be required before the painting is shipped.
Cash is my preferred payment method. I also accept Paypal and personal checks. Checks must clear before the painting is shipped. No International orders.
Shipping is via Pickup  or Fedex.  Illinois Residents: 8.25% sales tax is applicable.
I retain all reproduction rights. Any reproductions made without my personal written consent are a violation of copyright law.
